Throughout my life I have been interested in Art of various forms. I love music but Fine Art, specifically oil painting, has always interested me. A few years back I started working on becoming an art instructor in the more basic form of art commonly labeled Wet-on-Wet or "WOW". This fun technique uses a variety of big and small brushes, palette knifes, and sometimes even your fingers. This simple oil painting technique can be adapted and modified to create some of the most unique and beautiful paintings. Its great for the artist that's just beginning in oils. It teaches blending, color compositions, brush movements, palette knife uses, and lots more. This technique will encourage the artist to move on to more challenging subjects such as portraits or still life. To me, the most important thing in art is to have the courage to experiment and try new things. This can be a very daunting concept when you have spent several days on a work of art. Using the WOW method is a great way to learn what your imagination can do without ruining a work of art that took hours and even days to create. Recently I've become a member of T.E.A.M. which stands for Teachers and Educators of Art Material. I am listed as a teacher under the state of Ohio at this link.
My goal is to provide nice quality paintings at an affordable price. For those who not only enjoy seeing art, but would like to learn to create their own, I am currently working on instructional DVD's. In the near future I plan to offer classes. Feedback about what you would be interested in is appreciated. I am always open for fresh ideas and inspirations! Thanks and have a fabulous day!!!!!
